Can I see a copy of GMI's most recent audited financial statements?
Yes. GMI is audited each year by an independent accounting firm. We publish this report in its entirety and make it available to anyone at any time. Accountability is a commitment and a value that drives our whole organization. We are committed to earning and keeping your trust. If you have any questions about financial issues, please call us at 719-531-3599.
Are my contributions and gifts tax-deductible?
Yes. All contributions and gifts to GMI are tax-deductible in the United States. As a requirement of the 1993 Revenue Reconciliation Act, we verify that no goods or services of value are given to you for your contribution. All gifts should be given with the understanding that they are under the full discretion and control of GMI.
What about credit card transaction fees?
GMI pays for all fees charged by credit card companies for online transactions related to general fund donations and projects. The fees that credit card companies charge for contributions to the ministry accounts of staff missionaries are charged to the ministry accounts of those missionaries who receive the gifts. You will still receive a tax-deductible receipt for the full amount of the gift.
How much of my gift will the missionary's ministry or project receive?
Each gift you give will be used in full for the expenses of the missionary's ministry or project you designate.
How are GMI staff paid?
GMI staff compensation comes from funds received from their missionary support team (sending churches, and from other churches and individuals) supplemented by funds from the grant-funded projects they work on and sometimes from GMI sales and service revenue.
