Faces at GMI

Barb Bogard joined the staff of GMI as the Administrative Assistant in November, 1998. Prior to that she had been a stay-at-home wife and mother for many years. She and her husband Jim have three children, Mike (married to Karla), Elizabeth and Melissa. Barb and Jim were both born and raised in Colorado, but after having lived in the Seattle area for 10 years, they purposely sought out a job transfer in 1988 in order to return to Colorado and be closer to extended family.

She has a degree in Elementary Education from Colorado State College. She taught first grade in Chesapeake, Virginia, but as the Navy moved her husband's duty station four times in six years, she also worked in various office environments.

Currently she is actively involved in the Preschool Education Department at her church, directing and teaching in the Preschool Worship program. In addition, she is a leader for Moms In Touch (a weekly prayer group) for her daughter's school and works on the Moms In Touch Colorado State Team.

She also enjoys doing crafts including quilting, cardmaking, sewing and basket weaving.
