Global Mapping International
Jointly sponsored by Global Mapping International and Mission Training International
Goal: Mission practitioners will apply the "Listen First, Speak Later" method of cultural research to enhance the evangelization of the particular unreached people groups God has put on their hearts.
Content and Method: After some brief input on the relation of culture, worldview and proverbs, participants will be coached through the process of planning their own mini-project of cultural research based loosely on the prototype booklet, The ABCs of American Culture. The process includes getting cultural background, gathering proverbs and stories, interpreting and writing up the findings, producing a pamphlet or small booklet, using the booklet, and planning for further research and evangelization.
