ePUB book appears in iBook, but iBook exits as soon as user attempts to open it
iBook has problems with many ePUB books not specifically authored for iBook. For version 1.01 of the Operation World DVD (look for a file Version_1.01.htm on the DVD), we made iBook-specific changes to allow the ePUB to be used successfully with iBook. For users of both the 1.0 and 1.01 DVDs, though, we find we get the best reading experience using the free Stanza reader from the iTunes store. Stanza:
- displays the graphics and tables more legibly on the screen than iBook
- gives better multitouch zoom capability to enlarge graphics
- allows setting narrower margins so the whole width of tables can be read more often without turning the device sideways

Comments: iPad, recent iPod Touch , and iPhone 4 do an excellent job with the video. All seem to play the high-res video, with visible improvments in clarity, particularly on the charts, tables, and maps of the State of the Gospel presentation.

I just had stellar success adding the 1062 page OW PDF to my iPad.I downloaded the GoodReader for iPad App
Plugged my iPad into my desktop and ran iTunes on my desktop
Clicked on my iPad in the left column
Clicked on Apps on the upper tab
Scroll down to the bottom of the window to the Filesharing /Apps section
Click on GoodReader
Click on Add
type in the name of the drive and the OW PDF
and away it went. 100% great on the first try! All 1062 glorious pages. I have been wanting this since the first day I got my iPad!

i just downloaded the pdf format OW but could not open in GoodReader in my Ipad. the comment is " PDF file format is not recognized".

I can't download the PDF to my iPad. It will not complete the download. It shuts down the screen . Should I change the order to Kindle. I have that on my iPad?Tcb
